Customs, what customs?

Who doesn’t want stamps in their passport? This was a hallmark of travel abroad as long as I can remember, but not any more. At least not in Europe. There are no long lines of customs. A delight, but no stamps.

We flew into Copenhagen back in August. No customs. We have ‘plains, trains & automobiles’ through at least seven EU countries. Zero customs. No stamps.

You know where they do take your Passports? When you check-in for a flight and where you sleep. Hotels, AirBnbs, guest houses…any place there is a bed, they take a copy of your passport. But no colorful stamps.

They DO have lots of security cameras that are doing facial recognition all the time. I’m grateful, and I miss the stamps. C’est la vie.
